We proudly present the U.S. Navy S-3 Viking military aircraft display model. The model is made of all hardwoods, the weight and detail are amazing. The airplane body, wings, and matching stand are mahogany with other hard woods used for the cockpit, armaments, and small detail pieces.
Introduced in 1974, the S-3 is scheduled for retirement in 2009. Originally used to identify, track and destroy submarines the focus later changed to surface warfare and aerial refueling.
